Read, Write, Create! - Storyteller's Workshop (Grades 3-6, Session 2)
Grades 3–6 (Ages 8–12)
Led by: Emily Cook & Cassie Galletta (Local Bookworms & Educators)
Runs weekly (3 sessions total) — Sundays, August 17th, 24th, and 31st from 12-2 PM at Gunks Gaming Guild Cafe, 17 Church Street, New Paltz, NY
In session 2, young writers will take on the role of author from start to finish—crafting characters, building plots, and bringing their own stories to life. Each week offers a blend of quiet reading time, creative planning, and guided writing support as kids begin their own books. From designing their own book covers to sharing their stories in a supportive “author Q&A,” this session encourages kids to confidently express their ideas and take pride in their creative work. It’s about more than grammar or perfect sentences; it’s about expression, imagination, and the joy of making something from scratch.
A meal and drink are provided each week!
Each week, you'll receive an email with important details—including supplies needed, food options, and any program updates. Please keep an eye on your inbox to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for your child.
